Re: Neck Pup Recomendations

Just a question here first, what kind guitar are u going to put this is because if its a really bright guitar u wouldnt want something like the jazz.

Re: Neck Pup Recomendations

go for the jazz just like in the mojo, do regular humbuckers fit in your model? Because most parkers cant fit regular sized humbuckers.

Im Looking For A Clear Clean Rhythm Tone And A Searing Lead Tone.

Can't be done, IMO. Not both. Not with humbuckers. Not at rock volumes, meaning any tube amp turned up passed 5. The Searing Lead Tone is no problem: anything from a Seth Lover right up to a Dimebucker can do that. But after volume 5 or 6, I don't think there's a humbucker made that can get a genuinely clear, clean rythym tone. A nice Tele with great pickups, through a Boss DS-1 and a great tube amp almost can...that's why I play Strats and Teles.

I agree 100% with Lew. I learned the hard way. My Jazz pickup is great for cleans and sounds awesome paired with my Distortion, but when I solo on it it doesn't "sear" or "cut through" or "shred". I'm going to try a JB in the neck paired with a DiMarzio Drop-Sonic for my next pair, so my vote was for the JB.

I can't really tell you what to get, but I could tell you what not to get. Don't get a Jazz if your looking to shred/solo, and I'd think twice about the APH2. I know Slash uses it, but look at the amps he uses. I'd say try a JB or Full Shred, although I have NO EXPERIENCE with the full shred. I just think from what I hear it would be a better route for you.

Re: Neck Pup Recomendations

i can't recommend any based on your wants, the Jazz is an immaculate clean unit but the FS is still the one to beat when it comes to super high gain settings- the only Duncan to maintain clarity with lots of drive.
