Neck, Series, Bridge Wiring

If I wanted you use a toggle switch to get:
1 Neck
2 N x B (Series)
3 Bridge

Would this work?

The toggle would be ON-ON-ON.

Re: Neck, Series, Bridge Wiring

On what sort of guitar are you attempting this?

With a three-way Gibson style selector switch, I would expect to need a 4P3T on/on/on switch. Half of the switch selects the pickup outputs. The other half sorts out the ground and series links.

NOTE: I am posting this from my telephone. Please do not request a diagram.

It's actually much simpler than that, and Minions has it right. You connect the pickups in series then treat it like splitting a humbucker - select a coil by shorting the series link to either hot or ground.

You'll need a SPDT(or half a DPDT) ON-OFF-ON, or you could use a DPDT ON-ON-ON by using the lugs that do not connect in the middle position. If you want to use a Gibson-style toggle, you'll need the right-angle DPDT version.
