can someone give me as much info as to wat a neck thru neck to body set up is i know wat bolt on and set neck is but im totally confused when it comes to neck thru its even hard to research it
If you're just asking the difference of "Set Neck" or "Bolt-On" to "Neck-Thru", the answer is reasonably simple. Bolt-ons and Set necks have the bodies built with pockets left for the necks. The necks are then fastened to the bodies by means of bolts or glues. With neck thru guitars, the neck, insted of ending at the top of the fretboard, continues the length of the guitar. From the top of the headstock to the end strap-pin is one unit, and the rest of the guitar is glued on, kind of like little wings.
This ESP Steven Carpenter signature model is a good example: Note how there is a single piece of wood that contiunes from the end of the fretboard to the end of the guitar, with separate pieces attached on the sides.
