Neck trembucker?

I need a trembucker in the neck of my guitar, which one would go well with the Custom in the bridge?

I was thinking the 59, but then I read about it coming in bridge and neck models, and only the "bridge" model comes in trembucker spacing. Is there any big difference between the bridge and neck model?

Re: Neck trembucker?

If I were you, I'd get a Jazz-B TB and put it into the neck. The only problem with it might be (depending on how much bass your guitar has) woofy bass in the neck. BTW I would say 59TB in the neck would be OK too, but since Jazz is a little bit more clear, I'd recommend the Jazz-B TB.

Good luck,

There's a jazz TB?

Yes it needs to be as clear as possible. I really like the Dimarzio PAF Pro, but I want to stick to one brand. What's comparable from Duncan?

Re: Neck trembucker?

I'd say nothing. PAF Pro is a dark a5 neck pickup, and no Duncan is that hot (in the neck) and has them lowermids from an a5 mag.

But I personally don't like them PAF PRO's, to me they are somewhat plastic sounding. Don't get me wrong, because its all about tastes afterall.

Have you checked Rio Grande Texas? To me that sounds like a PAF PRO, and it'd be hot enough. But it won't be clear.

BTW why do you shy away from mixing brands? I never had a problem with that.

I thought there were a Jazz TB. But now am not so sure. Checked the duncan website and it appears there is none.

Are you sure you need trembucker spacing for the neck? You shouldn't. Regular spacing should work fine. Lew

The pickup i have in there now is a in that spacing and it all lines up perfectly. I know it would work the other way, unfortunately I am super picky... Which is why I also don't like mixing brands.

I've always thought/heard the PAF Pro is very bright pickup? If it's really dark then I don't think I want it after all. I don't want dark or bright for my neck pickup, I want clear and good for sweeping and wicked extreme cool metal stuff like that.

Yes I know it will be fine, but my string spacing is meant for an F-spaced in the bridge AND neck. My nut is wide.

I think I'll just go with some Dimarzios or Bill Lawrences.
