NECK

and your refering to the str-3 ?

The SSL-4 quarter pounder for strat is what I was referring to. Although I'd recommend that you get the tapped version which is surprisingly versatile and sounds like a low output single or full bore distortion machine.

I make a lot of guitars and most of them have pretty hot P-90s with very little or no perceptible hum. I use the "advancements" of good grounding, insulation, and copper foil tape (or carbon paint).
i'm leaning towards the quater pound STR-3, any thoughts? i play around with elecronics so i get what your saying

just for clarity... ssl3 is the hot for strat, the stl3 is the qp tele lead. the ssl4 is the strat qp flat, ssl7 is the strat qp staggered

I’ll give SD a call. I want to stick a 5 way in there with the JB jr having 4 conductors. Do you have a link to a wiring diagram as to save mucho time? Much appreciated …

I’m a perfectionist and it does make me crazy. I understand the jb jr can be wired split etc. I would think why bother. So I’m going back to a 4-way with 1-neck 2- parallel 3-series 4-bridge. Am I making sense?
