I have a jb jr in the neck and a hotrail in the bridge. what would be a good clean mid that complements the two
need a extremly clean mid pickup

I'd go with a hotrail neck model in the middle. Used to have that exact setup on my strat, it works well. Especially for Iron Maiden.

He said clean.. the Hot Rails are the total difference of what he wants...
If you want a Single Coil, go for an SSL-1, if you want a noice cancelling pickup with Single Coil size, go for either a Duckbucker or Vintage Rails, they are both very clean, many say they are exactly the same, except for the cosmetics, although I think the DBs are just a mini bit cleaner.
