need accurate Mustaine humbucker bridge

Just wanted to ask what gear Mustaine uses in his Silver Number 1 guitar with sparkle silver silver metal flake in his KV ?


Seems the lawrennce L500XL in neck is perfect. Now a JBJ could do nicely after I swap my J92c pickup. This should sound Like Mustaine.

Why do some preferr the Jackson J92c, what makes them so sought after ?

thats a lot of silver!

i have no idea. ive had a bunch of jackson pups over the years and none of them knocked me out. some guy gave me $75 for a j50 a few years back

a jb in the bridge is what dave used, so thats a good place to start

What Dave used and what were in the production KV-1's could be 2 totally different things....

As far as I know Dave has always used teh JB/Jazz combo.

I do remember seeing Dave in Jackson ads in the late 80's early 90's with KV-1's that were loaded with a Jackson bridge pickup and Bill Lawrence neck pickup. At the time Jackson was using Lawrence and Jackson pickups in most of their guitars, shying away from Duncan pickups for a few years to try to keep everything in house. I read somewhere that the Jackson pickups were actually built by Duncan.
