Had a chance to set it up and seems to be working fine... for now. If it starts slipping again I guess I'll have to get a better bridge. Which will raise the number of defective guitars in my collection to 100%
Whoever got me onto the vintage trail deserves a punch in the face.

OK, new update: Baseplate is DEFINITELY stripped. F*cksocks. Upper portion of threads are gone, but the lower half are intact. Right now, a crews still drops in there, but it hooks up with the threads so far down that the saddle can't fit underneath it. I might be able to get around the problem by getting the same size screw with a longer shaft.

A longer screw is a short-term solution, but start thinking about a replacement. The OFR will fit if the trem is not recessed, but if it is, the cavity behind the bridge will have to elongate a bit.

OFR won't fit, actually. But a Lockmeister will. Have emailed Schaller about selling me just a baseplate, as the other components are working fine. Will see what they say

Was able to buy just the base plate as a replacement part. Got it today. Saddle clamp locking screws dont fit. They use different models for the original Schaller and the Lockmeister. D'oh! Will have to order screws as well. Grumble, grumble. Everything else seems to it fine, though.

So the saga continues. I finally got all the locking screws I needed, put it together. Damn thing wont stay in tune. G and low e string keep slipping out when I do dives. WTH? Thought maybe nut would be the issues, but had no problems prior to swapping the base plate. Any ideas, anyone?
