Need Help Identifying Pickups

Re: Need Help Identifying Pickups

Huh?

I know they are Surfers. Antiquity II are Surfers, one and the same.

Antiquity I are Texas Hots (and they have black fiber bottoms)

Ok, well it sounds like the mystery is solved. Thanks for you help!

Re: Need Help Identifying Pickups

Get them in a guitar man!

I've had them in a strat for about a year now. But I've decided to try a set of the Radioshop ID:Chris Buck pickups, so these bad boys are now on Reverb ready to get put into someones strat and rip!

You should list them here if selling. Or I can swap you a new set of SSL-1s :D

Re: Need Help Identifying Pickups

Those don’t look like a set to me. Seymour’s sig is in different ink.

As mentioned, Black bottom is Texas Hot, gray is Surfer.

When I bought my Antiquity I Texas Hots, RWRP was not the default standard because that was not the standard for vintage Fenders. If you wanted RWRP you had to ask for it and they’d make you one.

Re: Need Help Identifying Pickups

I have ordered plenty of Surfers and never have three pickups come in a single box as a "set".

Actually, mine did. Marked as a set on the box also. [emoji4]

Oh! I like the gift box!

Yeah! Nice package indeed, I got that «oh wow, this is exclusive» feelin’ when packing them up. I guess that was the point. [emoji1]

But real kicker is the tone of ‘em. Oh man!

They do. And I’ve been a high output pickup metal guy all my playing «career». Now my favourite guitars are a LP trad with WLH and a strat with antiquitys.

I’m getting old. [emoji6]
