My sis-in-law's friend is helping a friend whose husband recently died. I am being asked to help out. He left a few guitars I am not sure of.

Okay...Please tell me what model this Telecaster is:

#1.

Washburn acoustic: Need to know the model number.

This is suppose to be a custom made acoustic bass. I looked up FF, but the only thing I can find is Rodriguez guitars that is sold off of Musician's Friend. It has a Martin case, so I am assuming it is indeed hand built as the wife said.

I appreciate anything you can help me with. Thanks guys.

Re: Need help identifying these guitars

Acoustic guitar model numbers are usually written inside the sound hole. Any way for you to peak in there?

As for that Tele...i'm pretty sure they've been making sunburst telecasters since the 50's. Any way we can get some more pix than that?

Re: Need help identifying these guitars

The tele is a Tele Plus yours was made between 1989 and 95 as after 95 they went to a bound contoured body. It has a Lace sensor double red in the bridge and a blue in the neck I think that it should be a TBX tone control although I am not sure. Because of the split between Fender and Lace Fender's website has scant information on these guitars.

The model number of the Washburn will be the typewriter written letters and numbers on the bottom of the label in the sound hole.

Re: Need help identifying these guitars

That Washburn looks to be an older D10CE --- D10 = the shape, C = cutaway, E = electric

I've had 2 of them. Does it have a realllllly narrow and thin neck?

No serial number so I am told.

Not sure the guitar is in New Mexico.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find info on this Martin 00-18. It has an installed pickup, but I am not sure if it was done after or at the factory. Serial # is 316432. :banghead:

Here are the pics.

Re: Need help identifying these guitars

Call Martin Customer Service with the serial number. They'll be able to tell you. And if the warranty was registered, they can tell you where the guitar was purchased from. They're usually pretty good about helping folks out with need to know info.

As for the acoustic bass, shoot the photos over to Elderly, have them take a look. It might be custom handmade, and by someone who has a good rep.

As for the Washburn, it'd a D-10CEB. Same thing Hot Sex mentioned, with a black finish. Good beaters, not worth much.

Re: Need help identifying these guitars

Thanks, Bean, Immortal Six, John L and anybody else who posts. :)

I think the Martin might be a 1972 according to a chart online, but I am not positive. I called Martin and they are on vacation until the 12th.
