NEED HELP INSTALLING 2 HUMBUCKERS & COIL/PHASE SPLIT

Hello,

Ok, so I’m trying my hand at learning how to install pickups (PLEASE FORGIVE THE UGLY MESS!) and having some issues installing Seymour Duncan humbuckers to the JP Pre-Wired kit from RS Guitarworks. Guitar is a Gibson LP Custom. I’m trying to coil split & phase split.

Please take a look at the attached photo and tell me what I’m doing wrong?
So far, just noise. No clear sound whatsoever.

Any help would be appreciated,
Christopher

What is your iron wattage??

Some of the joins look like they have not been made with enough heat.....especially on the backs of pots where they need a blast of power to get the solder melted. The solder should look like a smooth puddle, not all ruffled up.
Similar with the wiring onto the pushpull lugs. You need to twist the pickup wires neatly then tin with solder before you solder them to the tabs.......in fact the same with all joins for that matter.

With regard to the sound overall, unless you've cooked every pot the culprits usually come from the switch wiring or the output jack. Check you have got the right tabs soldered there.

Thank you for the suggestions AlexR.

Iron was set between 3 & 4, will crank up to 5.
