Need help wiring Everything Axe with a mini toggle

Hey y'all. Had a guitar tech put an Everything Axe set in my G&L S-500 a year or two ago, and it just never sounded right to me, so I haven't been playing it much at all. Realized the tech left in the old pots, which are 250kvol 500k tone & 1000k tone, which is probably why it has no life to it.
I just picked up the 3 recommended 250k pots to wire in, and I'd like to use the mini-toggle which is currently set to split the bridge HB, but use it like the s-500 was originally set up, which links the Neck & bridge pickups together so you can get all 3 pickups on in the 2&4th blade positions.

I have the everything axe wiring diagram which is easy enough but i do not know how to set it up for this switching. Anyone wanna lend a hand?

The 500k tone control should be fine with those pickups, maybe preferable to a 250k. However the 1M pot in G&L guitars is normally used as a bass-cut control. I'd try to track down a G&L schematic and figure out what wiring you have currently, as the first step.

Wow, I never knew about that G&L wiring. How strange! I wonder if it works well with their stock pickups.

I have done this before... Once for a cheap import guitar using the stock humbuckers, I used around 68pF or 100pF from hot to ground across the volume control. For small values of caps like the ones in Pico-farad range, I used it to make the pickups sound brighter and more cutting because the resonance is more noticeable in the upper mids. Once the Cap is getting towards the nano-farad range it seems to reduce the resonance and has the effect of sounding warmer. I didn't think it was very useful when it tried it. However its probably a similar effect to the curly cable used by Jimi Hendrix to load the pickups and change the sound. They guys at G&L would not fit the cap unless it was there for a reason.

wow thanks teleplayer. that makes a LOT of sense. Yea I put the new 250k pots in and the clarity and life is back in the pickups. theres a ground issue but ill sort that out.
