a buddy of mine gave me a dunlop hendrix wah because he didnt want to bother with trying to fix it. its hard to turn on and it doesnt sweep when on. the effect does come on but it sounds like it is stuck in the toe up position. no matter how many times you sweep it. it doesnt change. he bought it new and only had it afew months before it messed up. what do yall think the problem could be?

Re: need help with broke wah.

Open it up and check if the pot is actually turning . . . maybe the teeth on the little metal bar under the pedal aren't making good contact with the pot.

If you don't figure out how to fix it,send it to me and I'll fix it for you reasonable....Hard to diagnose w/out seeing the wah in front of us?

Something similar happened happened to me with my JEN Crybaby. The pot is a long shaft not quite one full turn with the gear ratio to the rack on the pedal. It went south so I picked up a pot at Cowtown Guitars Las Vegas NV. Google em. Don't forget to time the travel of the gears when you change it out.
