Need Pickup Recomendations For A Dimebucker Combo

I need some pickup recomendations for a pickup to go with a Dimebucker. Preferably a pickup with more natural mid range to counteract the mega low end from a Dimebucker. I would prefer for it to have naormal pole pieces so it can be covered page style 1 covered 1 uncovered not a requirement. And do PAF style pickups go anygood with high gain ones for solo stuff. Per se Whole Lotta Humbucker Dimebucker combo. Or do you need sonething more modern voiced medium output like the Dimbag Set (59 neck, Dimebucker Bridge.) Thank you.

If you're going for that Dimebag sound you can't really go wrong with the set (Dimebucker/'59). I recently used this combo in a baritone scale guitar and it worked like a charm, plenty of low end but when switching to the neck position it had a natural slightly scooped tone that was articulate and cut through. Wes has a good video demonstrating this set if you haven't seen it, check it out: https://youtu.be/6q8sWlwHY3o

A '59 is an A5 PAF, as I understand it. Unless you are doing the '59B in the neck thing that Dimebag had in some guitars. That's a bit hotter than most PAF fans like in the neck, but can balance well against a hot bridge pickup, particularly in a bright instrument. Lower output pickups can work well for switching from clean to low gain in neck position, to gain channel and bridge pickup for mayhem.

If you want some alternatives, Sentient has a huge following as a neck pickup that handles clean and all levels of gain well. Black Winter neck is pretty popular as well. Both have a bit more midrange than '59n, with the Black Winter neck being hotter. BW is slightly less appealing for edge of breakup/low gain (but still surprisingly good for a ceramic neck pickup), and has an excellent if unusual clean sound.

I used to have my Dimebucker paired with a '59 Bridge in the neck first, and then with a Distortion Neck. I liked the Distortion better. Easier to balance, IMO.
