Hello everyone,
I am doing a complete rewiring and replacing of all the electronics for a Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray dual pickup clone bass. I am planning on installing a pair of SMB-4D for the bridge and neck positions. The bass has 4 control knobs on the body. There is also a three way blade switch probably used for series, parallel and split tones.
Can someone tell me what type of tone circuit should I use? (STC-3M4, STC-3A, STC-3P, etc?)
Are SMB-4D active or passive pups?
How can I connect two pups to this type of set up? Are they connnected via the volume pot, tone pot or through the tone circuit board? Does anyone know of a wiring diagram for dual pups? I couldn't find on SD's website,
Thanks.
