To Sporky the Otterman, I would also like to see two additions which are "The Police Shall recieve no donuts" and more importantly "The police shall receive no bullets" The police are irresponisible and notoriously bad marksmen. Up in Seattle here a ways back some 18 year old kid stole a cop car out of the lot, while the Seattle police rushed after him, spotted a police car and fired upon it, not to be outdone the cop in the car getting shot at shot back at his fellow officers, after all the cops had emptied their mags at each other, neither of them had hit anything (who knows where the stray rounds ended up) all 3 shot 17 rounds at close range and could not hit each other much as they tried. The end result (it is never what would happen if you or I had popped off 51 rounds at cops) the "stern punishment" they received? They had their marksmanship badges taken away. True story.

So far I like the Lehle best because of the adjustments to each amp, but it sounds like the framptone has that but i dont know what internally means in regards to the feature.....

If the best ends up being the most expensive then I will go with that, after spending thousands on two full stacks I am not going to let 100 bucks or what have you spoil the tone that could be had by getting the best though not cheapest unit.
The "Penny wise pound foolish" or some such ye olde saying applies here me thinks.

by internal I meant that the Framptone has independent volume controls, but you need to open the case to access them, whereas the Lehle has mini-trimpots accessible on the outside (you need a tiny screwdriver to turn them, but you don't need to open the case up...it's not like you'd want to adjust these on the fly, however...).

There is a Voodoo Labs ABCD box that has volume controls right on the top of the unit, but it does not sound like you need to switch between 4 amps (unless you want to purchase more amps!): http://www.voodoolab.com/ampselector.htm I have no experience with this one, however.

I tend to agree with the pennywise/pound foolish idea, assuming resources are not overly limited. That being said...the Lehle and Framptone still seem expensive for what they do. And THAT being said, I am happy with the Framptone....

I've used a Morley A/B/Y for years. I used to run it with a Marshall and a Fender. It worked fine, but you can get bleed from one side to the other. I bought mine brand new for $40. It works, but it is nowhere near as good as some others mentioned here.

The Bigshot should do all you want, but it does not have an LED so you can see which amp you are in. The tone bone is a much better device, but is about 100$ more.

I have had more than one very good suggestion from you guys and truly appreciate it.
I knew from the start that the Morley was not something I wanted, intuition, but from the comments from you guys and looking up each one recommended I know what to look for in a unit and honestly I am going to print out the information on the Lehla, Framptone, Tonebone, Radial, and Palmer units. They all have thier ways of dealing with the ground and phase issues as well as keeping the signal to each amp split clean, and whether I want a boost switch on the switch box I am not sure I like or not yet, also some things like the Framptone using photelectric cells to keep things silent, or momentary switches to accomplish the same thing on a different unit. I dont see an obvious "winner" here, but some very well designed options and what is best for ME. Along with the commentary of why someone likes on over another. Also I have to think of the present and future, right now I just have 2 high gain amps to deal with, both tube, one 120 wat and one 200 watt. I very well may want to add a 3rd amp for a clean rig, in which case some like the radial abcd would be nice. So I will print the info on each out, and compare side by side features, and go with the one that seems best to me. I think these "mainstream" units are going to be better than some of the "boutique" ones, for the R&D put in to them, backing for thier product and ability to maintain, use high quality components, and back their products with a warranty etc. For example there was one "boutique type" unit that bragged their switches were good for 20K "clicks" I want zero clicks! I have found that if I cant afford the "best" gear item right away, I will save for it rather than have a bunch of substandard gear fast. I negotiate like a weasel and then make payments. I got the JSX and the FA180 new this way and the JSX has a 5 year warranty, I have several guitars, but I wanted one I could not afford, a Jackson USA KE-2 Kelly with level one Cemetary paint, listed for 3600 and I negotiated a price of 1650 and took a year to get it, but I got what I wanted, special ordered with 300 down. If the unit I consider best is a little more, I can likely afford to save fast for a 350 buck item, but if I could not I would wait another month and get that one instead of getting what I considered second best right away. I have several thousand of bucks worth of amp rigs and guitar here, to suddenly get cheap on a switching unit as it is a few more bucks is insanity. It is also helpful to put in a hyperlink to send me to a place where I can easily find the product someone is suggesting so I can evaluate it. These Forums are of great help, I knew zip about these because I had never needed one before, now I know what I want in a unit, how each unit accomplishes things, if I want an option easily available or in a place hard to accidentally change, and between the ones I mentioned, meaning I found a reason to include them in my final decision, I think I will end up with a unit that I will be confident has everything I want and nothing I dont want by careful comparison, I wont just think I have the best unit for my needs, I will now also know WHY it is the best for me. I am now capable of making an intelligent INFORMED decision and that I have no doubt will help me get the best results out of the gear I am using. I do a lot of modding of my guitars, upgrading the pups etc., and all of them sound great, I know what my goal is and how to achieve it, but if I dont know about something I am doing, I am not embarassed to ask an expert, I usually have my ducks in the right row, but a couple times I did not, but by not just guessing I end up with 100% success rate.

AGAIN I EXPRESS MY TRUE APPRECIATION FOR YOUR TIME AND OPINONS AND EDUCATION....IT WORKED!!!
