need speaker advice

here's the thing -- i put a fender bassman speaker in my pv classic 20 -- with jj tubes, it is now my favorite amp -- i figure if i had an extension speaker, the 15-watts would sound louder, ergo the better to hear myself think at blues jams -- but what speaker? Dunno, but it has to be 10". All suggestions gratefully considered -- thanks! :smokin:

is there some reason you must have a 10" speaker?
by theory, if you add another speaker with the same spl, both together should increase overall apparent volume by 3db but you will most likely have to turn your amps volume up a bit from your regular volume.

You just want another good 10" speaker? Is that what you're asking for?

Jensen Reissue P10R...like what came in a '59 Fender 4 x 10 Bassman amp.

i should have made myself clearer -- i want a speaker that will compliment my current one -- ie, add something to the mix -- and i'm just into 10" speakers these days

I have a 4x10 cab with Eminence Legends in it. My head is like a copy of the late '50s Bassman but the overall sound is different. My speakers are the Legend 105, which handle heavier styles of music and sound more modern. The Legend 102s are supposed to be a more accurate replacement for the Jensen P10Rs.
