Need Suggestions - SSH Shredder Axe

I need some suggestions for replacing the two single coils in my HM Strat.

In keeping with the axes purpose, I'd something that'll be good for tight and defined high speed, high gain lead playing, along with something that'll balance with the DiMarzio Super Distortion that's in there now (and will be staying in), and still have a good clean tone.

Right now I'm thinking either Hot Rails or Fender Texas Specials, but I'd like some other ideas.

I'd think a JBjr and Hot Rails would sound killer.

I would say, hot rails middle and cool rails in the neck. I had the same combo along with a C5 in a Charvel traditional that I once had and it was a good sounding setup.

Get the LiveWire HSS metal set . . . then come back and report how they sound.

The Super Dist. will already be in the bridge, so in the neck, the Hotrails will give you perfect legato tone... for shreds - bar none, but I think I would prefer the ceberal tone of the JB Jr.

For the middle, perhaps you could put the Screamin' Demon in there, because you're not going to good cleans out of the Hotrails unless split... I hear the Screamin' Demon has characteristics similar to a glassy single coil.

What do you think of the Screamin' Demon in the middle? I wouldn't know how it would work out.

Get the LiveWire HSS metal set . . . then come back and report how they sound.

I've been considering an SA/SA/89 set.....


....I've also been thinking about;

Cool Rail + Hot Rail + Super Dist
Duncan Texas Hots + Super Dist
DiMz YJMs + Super Dist
DiMz YJM + DiMz HS-3 + Super Dist

I also have a JB lying around and have been thinking about swapping out the Super Dist....but I'm supposed to be saving it for the Jagstang I plan on getting some day.

I have Classic Stacks in my SSH Jackson. For the life of me I cannot figure out why Jackson put those in as factory pups. They completely do not fit the shredder category. However, they sound real nice together in a clean mode, so perhaps that's why they did it. But, who plays a ghost flames Jackson in clean mode? Well, ID10T's like me I guess.

Anyhoo, my recommendation for a shredder axe.... something else besides Classic Stacks
