Need "woman tone" tips

I was wondering how you get woman that claption and slash got? Also can I use a neck humbucker to get that tone or is it better to use the bridge?:reporter:

i use my stratocasters neck pickup with the tone know all the way down with some distortion to get the clapton tone on sunshine of your love ect.

Make it go mooh
Slash is the APH-1 neck, I have it in my wolfgang, that gives that traditional good neck sound, just roll down the tone knob some for that mooh'ing Clapton thing.
