I was very skeptical about the Bugera line of amps as I'm not a Behringer fan at all. I was in a local music store and saw the 6262 head (an obvious Peavey 6505 ripoff). I was curious so I went home and got my guitar, came back and plugged into it. The gates of tone Heaven opened immediately. I know they reverse-engineered the thing but man, this amp sounds amazing. I A/B'd it with a 6505 and it actually sounded better. It must be a newer one because the inside is soldered well as I've heard the first ones had alot of clip connections. The "clean" channel actually gets pretty clean and when you engage the crunch switch, it's classic-rock/blues heaven. The lead channel is why I fell in love with this thing. It has gain to spare for even the biggest metal whore. (I am a serious metal tone whore) I have to tell ya, this amp does not suck. It is very loud and the stock tubes are very nice. I also like that you can switch to EL34's. There really is a tonal difference when you switch, too. I've had several tube amps that were power tube switchable but the tone wasn't affected very much. Not so with this amp. Anyone curious about these amps should try them. They sound great straight up but when you put a parametric EQ in the loop, HOLY SHEEP S$#T Batman!! You won't be disappointed. This thing DOES take effects very well and at $550.00 brand new, it's a steal. I've had it for 2 months now and play it at least 3 hours a day with absolutely no problems. There might be hope for Behringer yet.:yourock:
