Well, the new cab finally came in so I thought I'd post a few shots of the newly acquired G.A.S. suppressants.

Re: New amp/cab shots

How do you like the tone of the g12h30 and vintage 30?

I just ordered a closed back G212H custom avatar cab with that combo for my mark IV.
I went black tolex and black grill. I like the look of yours with the recto though..

Re: New amp/cab shots

So far I like it a lot, I'll put it through the real test this weekend though when I get to jam with the band, but so far it sounds pretty solid even at about 1/3 blast haha. You get some nice highs and mids from the V30, but a nice tight low end from the G12. I'm impressed so far, and I can't wait for this weekend :).

I considered getting black cloth for the grill, but I much preferred the price of the G212H special ;). What would be really cool is to get the cloth on the head done up to match the cab...

Actually, It can and has been done. I know Mesa offers custom colors and materials on factory direct orders. Send some e-mails around...matching tolex on the amp and cab would look damned nice, like it would belong in a freakin desert or something! Lamb of God uses that color grill on their Mesa cabs, so I know it can be done for a price.

Oh I know it can be done, I could probably even do it myself if I really wanted to. The manual tells you how to pull the chassis in case you need warranty repairs, so I could just pop it out and throw on the new cloth (once I bought it ;)). I'm really not too concerned about it, but it would be pretty killer looking.
