Took quite a bit of time with the settings to find the sound I liked but I'm "warming up to the burn" so to speak. LOL! Still, any suggestions or opinions on OD & fuzz with this amp? In my head I'm thinking Boss super OD & maybe Big Muff.

Still didn't crank the Bassman side to breakup but I tried out all channels up to 4 for a while & finally got the "Honey do you mind turning down a bit?"

Was looking for some type of casters for it without getting out the drill and noticed the SS Twin has them. :angryfire

Some points to make:

I have had mine since 2009 and is a great amp. Forget trying to run it loud to get a better tone - it isn't necessary in this amp - even bedroom levels can give great tones.

The BASSMAN chn - IS NOT A TWEED - is the Blackface 60s version...

When in the BURN chn, the BASSMAN and VIBROLUX switches have an effect on the tone still. So - remember to EQ accordingly on those chns. I employ a 10-o-clock/2-o-clock for the VBX and reverse for the BMAN

Best tones:
* Drive your BASSMAN chn with a transparent OD pedal...

* VIBROLUX is sooo sparkly clean and chimey and delivers fantastic funk and soul... but add a VIBE pedal and some on-board long tank Reverb and you are transported in a time machine!

The Burn dialled down gives great Blues - I get that Kenny Wayne Sheppard manic live tone with 73 Strat no problem.

I also have a 65 Super Reverb and side by side in unison is like having a Vibro~King going mental!
