New amp head, now I need a cab

So i played a Dr. Z Route 66 the other day and it blew me away.

Now i need a cab, but i am not sure what kind of speakers i want in it. I play things that sound like the wallflowers, wilco and the black keys. I also play a little jazz, so this cab has to do just about anything. What are my options guys. I think i would like a Dr. Z cab but i would have to change the speakers or maybe just one of them.

must be an 8 ohm cab.

See if they'll send you an unloaded one for less money. Or, just buy it and decide on the speakers later. Personally, I think their verticle 2-12 cabs look pretty hip.
I'd go for the matching Dr. Z cab.

i found a cool Dr. Z cab but it doesn't match, color wise anyway. the amp is blonde with a brown grill, i would like to make it an oxblood grill if i get a blonde cab. the cab would kill if i had a blue to replace v30 though. I may have to just find one and switch them out, or the v30 could sound even better than i think. thanks for the suggestions guys.

if you can find a Dr. Z cab that matches...that would be good...if not, i'm pretty sure you can get a blonde cab with oxblood grille from www.avatarspeakers.com and of course if you can get the Z cab to match, they have a wide variety of speakers there too?!

congratulations ... I've been looking at Zs lately myself!

I kind of agree that the Z cab would match best. If you can't locate one, you could talk to Fat Sound about ordering one. Z does offer Blues, BTW.
Another option is Avatar's Hellatone Celestions ... I have one on the way for my Deluxe Reverb - a 30 watt version. He also sells them on ebay.

I'm sort of assuming that you know that Dr Z was one of the first to start using a V30/ G12H combo. The two Hellatones should give you something similar, but sound broken in

of course i will give a full report T4D. thanks for all the suggestions. looking onto a few right now. i will keep you guys posted. I can't wait till this monster gets here.
