First I started with the 57 Reissue which I got about a month ago. I loaded it with new CTS 500 pots, Hovland caps, and Seymour Duncan Alnico II pickups which will hold me over until my Wolfetone Dr. Vintage arrives. Just got the Lone Star 2 days ago. So far I like what I hear. Can't wait to put those Dr. Vs in.

Looks like you've reached professional status budday. Props on the pimp gear.

I really like the dbl. black on the gold.

Why are you getting the Wolfetones? Do you not like the A2Ps? or did you have them laying around and shut put them in while waiting?

Thank you. I'm really enjoying this setup.

I read and heard good things about these pickups. Wolfe is making them so I should have them soon. Raw nickel covered neck and cream bridge. The pickguard goes back on when I install the Dr. V's.:bigok:

Very sweet rig there. I can even appreciate the Mesa combo. Though I'd be more impressed if it was a Bogner Shiva. ;)

I love the whole combo! I was a big fan of the A2P neck in my Paul when I had it in there. Is that the standard Lonestar or the Special? Can you post a mini review of it? I've been dying to try one, but I think if I try, I'll buy, and I don't need another amp now. ;)

I have Seths set aside for my R7, but APIIs would be a good choice too. :)

enjoy

Mini Review: Based on 2 days

Channel 1: Best clean Mesa ever made. I believe this is what sells the amp.
Can be set up to dirty, think SRV blues.

Channel 2: You will not find todays metal tone here. What you do get is a
heavy overdrive ala Soundgarden, VH, AC/DC. Several features
like having the drive on/off dramatically changes things. I have
the bass tone next to 0. Highs and presense nearly dimed, mids
close to the halfway mark.

I like the fact that I can choose to have a master volume or switch to hard bypass and have each channel individually controlled. Each channel can also be switched to 50 or 100 watt. Still working on finding my settings so I'm not at all through in discovering tone.
