No, I am not a photographer...lol

Very pleased so far. My old Marshall cab was pretty cool but this new one lives up to its billing - tighter, brighter, more defined. Needs more breaking in but that will NOT be a problem!!

Hahaha yeah I am still recovering from getting it unboxed...

Re: New Cab Day - Mesa 4x12 trad. slant recto

Very nice. Im always kind of surprised at how fragile my Marshall cab seems to be. Been thinking of switching to a Mesa or Emperor

Re: New Cab Day - Mesa 4x12 trad. slant recto

I love my Mesa cab. I think it's actually a breeze hauling around with casters too. Of course I'm always dealing with my bass player's 8x10 at the same time as well, so maybe that's relative.

Re: New Cab Day - Mesa 4x12 trad. slant recto

I have one. It's actually not too difficult to haul around with the casters.

Re: New Cab Day - Mesa 4x12 trad. slant recto

A buddy of mine in another band had an 8x10 ampeg cab. The guitarist was hauling it upstairs, looked at me and said "This is the coffin they will bury me in"

And then dude went and bought an Emperor. It weighs roughly the mass of a dwarf planet, but the sound is AWESOME.

Nice!!! Perfect compliment for the Mesa head...

Thanks - it amazed me how different it sounded, more high end and a little more crisp. Lows are still tight but not quite as big. This is what I was looking for, it really brings out the dual recto classic sound esp. on the red channel and sounds great for leads.

Nice!! What you're saying fits how I think of V30s to a "T". Do you know what speakers are in your Marshall cab? Greenbacks? G12T-75s?

Re: New Cab Day - Mesa 4x12 trad. slant recto

They are these: Celestion G12H-100s

Talk about some GRUNT - they are great for rhythm guitar but I wanted to try something new that was a little more focused sounding and lead gtr friendly. I am probably going to sell it to my bass player who has the head that went with it; an 80s era JCM800 bass head.
