New Celestion 10” Creamback

Hi all,

Any chance that one of you has tried out the new 10” Celestion Creamback 45w? Looking at upgrading an old Celestion Vintage 10 in a combo I use as a head... would be nice to use as a combo alone with a better speaker. Also looking at the 10” Greenback, so comparisons are great.

Haven't tried the new Creamback, but it does seem very interesting.

I have tried the 10" Greenback, and it's great. Very 12"-like and very Greenback-y indeed. Slightly less extension up top and down below than an actual Creamback with a slightly different treble voicing being a 10", but overall, pretty great.

Couldn’t find any good reviews on the Creamback so being that I found a good Black Friday deal on Celestions I went with the 10” Greenback. I want a speaker that is 12”ish and there’s no mention of the lows on the Creamback so opted against it. It’s also my home practice amp so the 95db sensitivity is ideal so I just push the volume a bit. Should arrive soon, looking forward to it.
