god...i am only 16 yet i can sit here and say you remind me of well... me about 2 1/2 or 3 years ago when i started playing, learning Metallica...singing Metallica keep it up man

listening to creeping death, the tone is very cool, but you seem to be struggling with the sheer speed of james' playing. same thing happened with me when i first started playing. keep it up and you'll get there =)

there are also quite a lot of timing issues throughout, but really nothing you cant work out by practicing

Work on your timing, Chromatic scales and penatonic scales will help alot more than modal scales... When you have your timing down just go pick up a bit of theory, learn some licks and expiriment. Check out my vid to, its the o010010010101010 thing.
