RIGHT HERE

Sorry-this was super rushed- so the playing is pretty lame-o. But I wanted to get something up for a few people.

Laptop mic (noisy- especially with the 60 cycle hum). Strat. Custom Shop 69s. Duncan PUP booster, VOX AD15 VT.

Sounds good..I failed to see any problem with the playing.. good job!

Thank You Dave. I had recorded a better demo, but then realized I had left the reso switch on 1 for all those parts, so I had to re-de before the amp heated up (its about ready to kick the bucket)

That bad huh?

I'm gonna try & post it again in T&C where it belongs.

Re: NEW CLIP (won't post in T&C for some reason?)

Those 69s sound fantastic! Pretty transparent booster. Sounds pretty good.

Re: NEW CLIP (won't post in T&C for some reason?)

finally a clip where i can here the PU Booster in action... i just may have to grab one of those pedals.... it's a pain around here trying to find Duncan pedals in stock....

Re: NEW CLIP (won't post in T&C for some reason?)

The PUP booster is way cool. I love the tones it produce when the amp is just barely breaking up, and the boost is @ 12 "oclock (which is where it was for the clips)-

To me, these Custom Shop 69s are just plain and simple what a good strat is supposed to sound like. They are low output singles (5.8K-ish), but not anemic or thin at all. I hemmed and hawed about pups for a long time, and I'm glad I went with my gut instinct :bigthumb:

Thanks for the comments..... anyone else?? :)

in general i don't like lower output single coils... but still i'd like to try some of those 69 pickups

Tell me again what is wrong your AD15VT --- I gig with mine twice a week, and I would appreciate being abreast of any known issues.

After about an hour, it overheats and does all kinds of fun stuff- mostly gets really fuzzy sounding-reverb levels change at their whim, effects wont turn on or off, etc etc,

Granted it's a $180 amp and lasted over two years so I'm not complaining. I traded some old junk in on it and didn't pay a whole lot for it even brand new-
