Musicians Friend is selling those things for $999. WAY more than i expected but i did check out the video demo clip that i think someone here posted. Seems to sound really nice and the attenuator thing looks really cool also. Maybe it IS cool enough to justify the $1K price tag??

Isn't the going rate on a Silverface Princeton way less then $1k?

I seem to recall seeing them around $400-500 even just a few months ago...the built-in FX don't mean squat to me (and most players I'd guess) unless they sound AMAZING, but I've never really encountered an "amazing" Fender overdrive...

Plus, the WHOLE magik thing about the Princeton (IMO) is cranking it up so it overdrives on it's own!

Even an old one with a Hot Plate or some other soak device would be under $1K...

Still...I'll check one out when I see one in a store.

I'm just waiting for Fender to reissue some sort of old Silverface anyway, I'd probably buy one of those in a heartbeat...but i guess they have to do their 21st century DSP/modeling stuff to everything first.

Does anyone have any clue as to when Fender might reissue any original Silverface amps? They've already started on some '70s guitars......I think they'd sell. IMHO, i like the silverface look more than the blackface look.
