Hmm, I would be bad at this, as I don't really like tinkering (I'd rather get on to playing) and I'm not currently looking for a sound I can't get another way.

But I could imagine a double screw 59/Custom Hybrid with an A2 magnet. In flat black with gloss black spots. Call it the Plaguebucker.

Overwinding the standard Invader would undoubtedly result in a mud-fest, BUT...

This idea could be really interesting if they were to perhaps use a custom wire gauge, like on the Custom Shop RTM pickup! In fact, I could totally see an overwound RTM-style trembucker with hotter mags and invader-style poles being a pretty dang cool combination!

I'm picturing a modified Phat Cat-style P90 in a humbucker housing, with a custom engraved cover where the pole pieces are linked by little virus cells displaying the familiar corona shape

The wind would be about 10.04k, the same as a high fever in Fahrenheit (I'm Canadian so feel I have to specify the scale)

It would be powerful and get a little nasty with an amp running mild overdrive, snarky attack and a proper high mid punch, sparkly harmonics you hear and feel like the little droplets in the air when someone sneezes and you feel it from a distance

If the Phat Cat had been a touch hotter, I'd probably still have one!

How 'bout this for a name: "Pandemic-90"?

Either way, fun idea. I'll add it to the list

Two different strat rails on a Humbucker plate with a custom double-triple shot ring (or just the requisite 10 wires coming off it). Gives 11 coil combinations to a single hum guitar. Call it “The Cruise Line”

I was actually thinking along these lines, what if you made a P90 that was designed for metal, but could also clean up? Like what the Black Winter and Pegasus did for humbuckers, but for a P90.

I'd love a P-Rails with A2 slugs in the P90 (warm, full, round) and ceramic under the rail (clarity, brightness, adds a little tightness). Coils mismatched with a vintage vibe and slight hint of modern compression.

As for name suggestions, how about The Lonely Rails or Captive19?

Duncan could make a noise gate called "The N95" that filters out even the nastiest filth

Or a compressor called "The Curve Flattener" that squishes those peaks down to a more manageable size

Or a quality set of cables called "The Essential Worker" that you never new you needed until you almost lost it

Over wind it on both coils just a little to offset the weaker A2 mag and add a matching Neck Hybrid for a full set of Plaguebuckers and I'm in!

Adjustable slug Strat SSLs (a la Wide Range Humbucker type mags that are also screws - can this be done with A2, A5 slugs?) so you can set whatever radius/height you need. Call it the “ICU set for Strat”
