New Gear!

Ok... So maybe Not exciting enough for the use of an exclamation point, but still cool no less.

Went with a friend to see his parents, and get some carpet and tile. Well the carpet and tile didn't pan out, but I did come back with a new toy.

It's a Laney 1x12 extension cab.

Good sounding cab. Well built. The speaker, I imagine it's stock, sounds good. Could probably benefit from a change down the road, but for now it's good.

I haven't used it in conjunction with the POD yet, but in a minute I will know how well it will works in conjunction. Sounded good running as an extension at my friends house though. It's obviously lacking in some of the low end of my 4x12... and the POD seems to lack that naturally so that may present a problem.. but we shall see.

So now I have a nice, small and portable rig. :bigok:

Re: New Gear!

I played through with the POD and Power Block. I will definitely have to do some tweaking, but nothing major.

It is a great sounding little cab, and very solidly built.

Much tighter than either 4x12 I have. I guess I would describe it as tight and focused.
It is definitely lacking bottom end though. Not terribly so, but that has always been one complaint I have had concerning the POD. Some tones seem a bit more "buzzy" through it. So my dirty tones will need a little bit of work.

4x12's still have their place with me, but this is a welcome replacement for quick and easy transporation.
