New Gibson Les Paul desert burst

hi everyone,

its a std in desert burst

when i couldnt afford to have les pauls..

i kept telling myself that a les paul wasnt for me..

well i found the right one..

and i cant put it down..

looks so different in each pic..
sometimes the camera captures only half of the flames on the body.heh

my strat sounds so wimpy compared to my paula:firedevil

oh i also got this on the 6th of april (good friday)
damn! it was a really good friday!:bigok:

Dude she is abosulety STUNNING! Congrats man. I have been looking at lp in that color for a long time and I must say that your guitar is a nice piece of axe. I am totally jelous, but in a good way!

Rip out a solo for me,

Ahhhh...I see it has the 70's "Large" headstock:P....lot of people don't like it....I LOVE it haha...NICE Paul...good luck with it

Congrats on the Paul. Everyone has to own both a Strat and a LP. Your collection just ain't complete without one or the other IMO. :D :32: :) I've been gassin for a LP Standard in TobaccoBurst lately..... :32:

What about pickups? Have you started to think about installing Duncans on it?

thanks for the comments guys,

i like it just the way it is now, the pickups sound great too

the only thing new i installed were schaller straplocks..heh


but maybe i should try a new pair of duncans perhaps?:eek13: :laughing:
i currently have a jb in my strat and a 59/custom in my jackson..

I don't like the looks of the more common cherry or honey burst Gibsons. I like that burst though! I could really like a Gibson that looks like that.

Very cool indeed, do they still do the "iced tea" burst. I dont own a Paul yet, have a Singlecut but still want a Paul at some stage!

yup they still have the iced tea, but mine is a desert burst:laughing:
it was the oddball out of the regular cherry and other bursts (it was so gorgeous)

i probably would have tried singlecuts too, only if this bastard wouldn't have said 'buy me' on the headstock:laughing:

That's a NICE looking guitar! Strange to call it Desert Burst though, it looks more like a Two-Tone Burst '50s Strat combo. Anyways when I hear the word 'Desert' in it's name I automatically think of another Fender colour, Desert Sand.

just needs a creme pickguard and you are good to go :bigthumb: ;)

My 2005 CSB 50s neck had a similar kinda figure to the top. Very subtle.
