New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Very cool, I think I needs me a new switch for my Rhoads or Flying V....

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Will that fit in the switch cavity of a Les Paul? Doesn't even look like it would fit through the top.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Durr, it comes on the Jimmy Page LP, and it says clearly it's for LP-styles. Geez, you JCFer you

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

So... what is so special about it?

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

4 JCF'ers here in this thread. Who organized this JCF flash mob? haha.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

only thing I don't like is:

"Requires Les Paul solidbody switch cavity modification."

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Extremely interesting switch with many different wiring posibilities.

I wonder how easy it will be to "shift" to the right "gear" on the fly? Would it be too easy, for example, to get into position 4 when you wanted to go to pos 1? Or to the middle right pos (2) when wanting to go to the middle left pos (5)? etc.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Worth getting a couple & trying them out. I'd think the 'modification' isn't much, and the cavities in some solids probably don't need any changes; there's always 335's too.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Nice. That might just be the cure for my crowded pickguard on the Strabro Blazer.

Awesome!

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

looks like a pretty cool switch, wish these had been out when I was planning my Warmoth.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

I think 15-year-olds should have to play a guitar with one of these before graduating to a manual transmission.

Re: New Gibson-style toggle at StewMac

Nice idea - apart from having to modify the switch cavity and cover plate on a Lester. Should be fine on SGs, 335s, Explorers and some Vees.
