New guitar day!!! Had to have it. Gibson 50's Goldtop

I found myself in Sam Ash holding the new 50's Les Paul and I knew it had to be mine. I just love it. So, gone is my 2012 Les Paul Standard. The 2012 was a great guitar but this is just a better fit for me. The fat neck feels like it was made for my hands. No push/ pull knobs that never got touched, no circuit board making pickup swaps a headache. No weight relief chambers, this is a heavy mutha. I cant pull a bad tone out of it. I dont want to put it down. I know this is a Seymour Duncan forum but I dont even see myself swapping the pickups. The Burstbuckers sound great in this guitar.20190504_201947.jpg20190504_202020.jpg20190504_202000.jpg

That thing is beautiful! Congratulations.

Funny you mention the push-pulls for splitting.
I've always thought of them as a plus, then proceed to never ever use them.

My Epi LP with both pickups split in the middle does have a beautiful clean sound... that I never use.

ROCK ON!!!! :headbang:

When the guitar speaks to you - listen and have no regrets.

Didn't buy that from Danny in Clearwater, did you?

Congratulations, that’s sweet. I like the bigger necks also. I have a 50’s Tribute Gold Top that was as close to your guitar that I can afford. Enjoy, you got a keeper!

No. I love that Clearwater store but I bought this at the Tampa location.

Well done! When a guitar demands that you take it home, you must obey. Now play the heck out of that heavy thang!

Awesome, looks great and regarding the pick ups... if it broke don’t fix it! Enjoy.
