New guitar on the way

So I sent back the gawdaweful Gibson I bought that I posted here about , freeing up some venture capitol. Today I jumped on a Warmoth VIP. Now I don't really like to post pics of stuff before I get it and check it out. Ive posted a lot of new bought stuff here I ended up sending back after I've got it, cause of being not as described, or defective.

Well, I got THIS for less than the ergonomically disasterous Gibson. Got it for what I think is a great deal. 700 shipped , well, after ebay bucks a little less.

Its also got Lollar Imperials, which I will sell for 160.00. , dropping it down to 540.00. IF the neck is reasonably straight and the truss rod works, then I'm golden. Doesn't have a hard case, but Really a stellar deal as far as I'm concerned. Ive been wanting a semi hollow to throw my TV Jone's in! Guy claims he paid over 2 grand for just the parts.

This guitar is a 335/Strat !
Comes with the NEW SKB bag I received it in, earlier this year. Original owner in CAL.
I ordered CREAM PICKUP RINGS from Warmoth and installed them.. Replacing the black ones that were on it.
I replaced the black knobs and 3-way switch tip with CREAM Strat knobs and a CREAM toggle switch tip I found in my old box of guitar parts. I also set the ACTION and SMOOTHED OUT the FRET ENDS, like I do on all my guitars.
I even switched-out the TONE POT with a NEW 500k , just cause it didn't sound quite right to me !
Well, NOW it DOES .
This is REALLY a GREAT Guitar !
She has a couple marks on her, and I tried to show in the pics . One close-up shows a couple little dents below the tailpiece. There are a few on her back

i HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS. HOPE NOT TO BE DISAPPOINTED. THE STRAT KNOBS GOTTA GO LOL. tHE CORE WOOD ISNT SPECIFIED, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE FROM WHAT LIITLE IS VISIBLE THROUGH THE F HOLE IN THE PIC, , DARE i SAY; ROSEWOOD? PROBABLY IT IS MAHOGANY, BUT CERTAINLY NOT MAPLE.;

Nice, congrats!

I've got another guitar on the way, but an Alexi Laiho signature definitely isn't as beautiful as that

Re: New guitar on the way

love the guitar but the knobs gotta go. id rock that thing any day

Re: New guitar on the way

Much better guitar for the money, though I would have taken the ergo nightmare also. (Hey full disclosure and all)

I hate to burst your bubble, but I sold the seller that guitar. It's an 80's Ibanez copy made by Hondo. I removed the logo, and sold it to him for $100, but it didn't have the Lollars in it at the time.

Just Kidding! :18:

I felt my stomach drop when I read that and it's not even my guitar

That looks super cool, congrats! I'm getting some PRS/Dean/Schecter vibes from that time when 22 fret HH hardtail axes were more common.

I agree with Jeremy about the knobs - the perfect solution would be cream top hats with gold tops.
