New Guitar Project - Musikraft Ash San Dimas

After every project I say "this is the last one" and then turn around and start a new one. I really hope this one will be my last one...or second to last one. lol

It is an Ash body San Dimas by Musikraft routed for H/S and a Floyd, has a contoured heel (slight one, included the shorter screws for the high E side.) Looking to put a JB in the bridge and a JB Jr or Hotrails in the neck. The neck will be a Roasted Maple but haven't decided yet if it will be Flame, Birdseye, or Quartersawn or if it will be Maple or Rosewood fretboard...too early on right now.

These are the pics of the body, this project will probably not get started until next year...just too much going on. But I may wrap everything else up early and get a start by Christmas. lol

That looks great. Holler at me if you need a JB. I've got plenty of them laying around here from taking them out of my Charvels.

Finish ideas?

Nice grain,too!!!

Thanks!

Not quite sure on the finish yet–I saw this ash body in "Antique Oil" that I love

BUT...it was on a $3,000+ guitar so I don't know how practical it can be for me to get the same look lol

Definitely want something to show the grain though, too pretty to cover up :)

Looks like fun!

I hope it will be fun! Thanks!

Thank you for the heads up Jolly! I will definitely be hitting you up for one, wanted to try one with a UOA5 in it. Side note, Thane said the other guitar is still wet and he may be dry enough to buff next week. I'll give you a call when I head up to TN.

Future brother of my charvel chickenbucker.

Ha! Love it man!
