new guitar...time to choose

Here is the deal...I'm gonna pick up anopther 2 bucker guitar, and I HATE Gibson, and I will NEVER give them anymore of my money! That said I have narrowed it down to 2 choices...

Either an Edwards LP copy...butterscotch, flame top '58 style with a Seth in the neck and a Pearly Gates in the bridge

or

A real deal Tele-Gib(Just like Jeff's)...Swamp ash body, maple neck, JB/Jazz comby, etc...

Both guitars will do the job I need done, and for that matter I don't need one...it's GAS, and both guitars would be very cool...what do you guys think???

If you're considering an LP copy you must like something about Gibson guitars even if you hate the company in its current incarnation. You could buy a used Gibson - that way you'll fulfil your requirement of not giving them any more of your money. And used guitars are more environmentally friendly.

As far as Gibsons go, they have not made a guitar in years that I would really even play, up until that last few years...but I refuse to pay 3 or 4 grand for a subpar built guitar, that I will at a bare minimum change the pickups in. And even used these guitars bring too much money...the Edwards Pauls are KILLER 58 Style pauls with 1/2 inch maple tops, killer nitro finishes, amazing fat 58 LP necks, and they come new with Duncan Seth Lovers! :32: :32: :32: The best part is that I can get one in a butterscotch colour, in a gig bag for $850.00 shippeed to my front door! :cool3: :dance: As for the Tele-Gib, this is something I would have to build...but if I do it I will be doing it JUST like Jeff's...swamp ash body, JB/Jazz combo, etc...I might change the color combo but it will be built just like Jeff's...nitro finish and all...no matter what I do, the other guitar will be part of my collection sometime in the next year...but lately I've spent WAY too much money...after my Strat and either this LP or the Tele-Gib, I have to call a time out!

If I do go Tele-Gib...should I do it like Jeff's... :32:
-Tele Blond :32:
-Brown guardplate :32:
-double cream(bridge)/Reverse Zebra(neck) :32:

Or should I do a
-White body :cool3:
-Black Guard :laugh:
-Double black(Bridge)/Zebra(neck)

eitherway...it's gonna have a Maple neck :laugh2:

Its your choice.

What other axes do you have?

If you have nothing similar to an LP, get the LP.
If you dont have a fenderish axe already, get the Tele-gib

tele-gib gets my vote...although i'm g.a.s.sin for an edwards lp copy too...
