Well, I sold my Marshall AVT150, my avatar cab, a schecter bass and behringer practice amp to fund it, and my god was it worth it! 2002 Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 3 channel, with JJ 6l6GC power tubes, JJ GZ34S rectifier tubes and JJ 12AX7 preamp tubes put in within the last year. Found it on Craigslist, brought it home and cleaned it up to nearly showroom condition. This is my first tube amp, and I am in love.
Pics:
I'm running it through my spare peavey cab, which is now my only cab, but I'm saving my next coupe of paychecks for a mesa or vht cab.
The sound is exactly what I am after, thick, throaty and saturated, yet not brittle and harsh.
