I love the bass guitar sound, its got a great groove among the mix. What'd you use? DI? Amp?

I can't even begin to tell u how happy I am that you heard it as a real bass.
It's the subtractor synth in Reason®™, triggered by my Yamaha KB.
I threw it down as a scratch track, which I was going to eventually play on Bass, but I'm really diggin' it "as is", too.

I'm glad you turned down the synth - it fits really nicely now. I'd give the backing vox a teeny bit more juice.

Wow dude, you totally surpised me there. I can usually hear a synth bass sound an know its a synth, not that time. I would have never guessed it. I need to go play with subtractors bass sounds a little now I suppose.

dude, u got me smilin', man. I didn't know if I was just being lazy & self-fulfilling to myself by saying it sounded believable. I really didn't want to take the time & record the bass part, with a real bass.
The fact that an experience studio dood lyke urself didn't mind the sound, is pretty much convincing me to keep it.
Plus, I think I really lyke the sound.

That's Subtractor?!? Wow. I've really got to give that thing a try. I need to get me one of dem MIDI controllers. I have an old Yamaha DX7 with MIDI, but I have never been able to get it to work as a trigger.
