Went to a local guitar shop today to molest some new gear.. They had a bunch of the new Jacksons. They were all pretty nice, but felt very light. Good for many and should be preferred with my glass back, but I like a substantial feeling guitar that doesnt feel like a toy..
They played well and felt pretty well made. filler around inlays and the usual cost cutter fair. They had one of the king Vs, a RR V , a Soloist type and the one you see in the adds with the burst quilt top.. That was nice! Suprisingly, the one that impressed me most was the one I figured would feel the cheapest. I played the Adrian Smith model. I must have played a good one. It was pretty heavy and felt very solid. Therefore the sustain and unplugged sound was good. Obviously, the neck didnt feel as heavenly as my pro mod.. But it may be a decent back up.. (with a pup swap) Previous reviews werent so good, so perhaps this was a special one?
Anyhow, just thought Id share..
PS. I think Jackson should have left off the change on the MSRP. For it is a Human number... Its number is: $666.65 hahahah
