New Jam

OK, I don't have much opportunity to jam with real guys anymore so it's fun when I get a chance to do that and be in someone else's studio for the night... Anyway, this was all about having fun and, well, probably more drinking than playing was involved :) I missed a few queues and so did the drummer and bass player.

Used an old heavily modified Bassman (silverface) through a 4x12 with Tone Tubbies. Guitars were double tracked on the rhythm (it's a real blast trying to double track screw ups), and dragged out the crappy homemade strat for the solo. This is a raw cut off the board with just some verb to awaken the dead... There's no real EQ on anything so it is what it is.

Re: New Jam

LOL - I know - I'm so freakin old school it makes me sick... Need to start playin with more pedals and stuff to get something else in my brain going - it's just so hard for me to do anything but plug straight in to an amp. And then the sound just becomes the inspiration to play a certain way...

Awesome sound. Good recording quality too, nice mix. What guitar did you use for the rhythm - and is that amp distortion, or a pedal?

Thanks man.

Homemade single PUP Jackson style strat something. The solo was done on a home made stratobastard that's been with me since I started playing. Pedals? If I could figure out how to use 'em, I would probably get them rolled into the mix somehow. As for this, everything straight into the amp - about the only way I know to do things...
