New Kitchen Counter day!

Dunno whose idea it was to dismantle a cutting board and put it on a guitar, but that guy is a genius. Swapped out my Mayones Setius GTM for those waaaaaay cool Axis Super Sport Rosewood With Piezo And Other Awesome Words.

Yes she is.

Turns out it kinda has the sound I've had in my head for a while.
It's not perfect. It's very heavy. But man. It sounds amazing. Sustains great, sounds clear but very ballsy. Oh my. I'll go back to make love to it shortly.

Oh. And of course, my balls:

Man I never got why people called them balls. To me they've always been MusicMan! Then again I don't use Ernie Ball stuff so I guess that's why. Well, their guitars, I guess.

Anyway. Tl;dr: it's awesome. It's Rosewood.

Anybody got the specs somewhere by the way? Judging by the pickup cavity the Rosewood piece is just a top, the body wood may be something else.

Awesome score! I love Music Man guitars and my next instrument will likely be one of their piezo equipped guitars if I can find one at a good price.

As far as the body, it's just a rosewood top. I dunno what the body wood is. What do you think of the rosewood neck? I've only ever played a few rosewood neck guitars but they're some of the best feeling necks I've played. I love them so much that my upcoming custom build has a beautiful slab of rosewood for the neck.

The Albert Lee also has a full Rosewood neck. It's amazing. They sound and feel truly different, but it's a thing of beauty. Really, really loving it.

Is your Albert Lee pink? Or is the blue sheet throwing off the cameras white balance and it's actually fiesta red? Always liked that body shape.

Yeah it's Fiesta Red. I don't think this color is a standard for the AL.
I'll need to tweak the white balance next time I take pictures on these bedsheets...

If you liked the top, wait until I get some good pictures of that neck. The figuring is AWESOME.
