New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Don't care for the black HB but I'm more concerned with sound. Cool that it splits the bridge if you want to go to SC.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

The black humbucker might be okay if the other pickups were black; but as it is now calls for a double cream humbucker.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

i like the big headstock, but i'm not sure why they would crudely place a black humbucker with white singles.

but at least they use an F-spaced humbucker in it now. not sure whose idea it was for the strat-exclusive PG+ to be G-spaced. not that i'm complaining, since i love the PG+ with proper string spacing. it doesnt matter so much if you keep the pup away from the strings, but it makes a big difference when you keep the pups close to the strings like i do.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

I like the big headstock. Throwing a black bucker in there is just laziness on Fender's part though.

I doesn't matter though because I'll swap it for a PG+ anyways which is what a REAL Lonestar Strat should have.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Yeah, that's the best finish out of all of them. If I had it, there'd be a nickel covered Whole Lotta Humbucker bridge in it.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Some very high end guitars used to come with a black humbucker and off-white covers on the single coils. Not saying I like that look, just that some guitars did come that way.

Never took you for a Strat guy, Bob. I have to compliment your taste.
