New Marshall 4 channel all tube JVM demo!!!

Re: New Marshall 4 channel all tube JVM demo!!!

Too many bells and whistles for me. A Fender Pro Junior plugged into a Marshall 4-12 ext cabinet, a Marshall Jackhammer, and a good reverb pedal will give you the same results for a lot less money.:smoker:

SAME results?

:haha:

I can understand there being "too many bells & whistles" for someone...

but C'mon....access to 6 banks of 4 seperately volumed and EQ'ed channels/preamps...selectable reverb levels on each, each..as well as 3 footswitchables gains/modes for each channel????

and that = A 1x12" fender open back EL-84 combo with an middle of the road stompbox and a reverb pedal?

:haha:

You should sell whatever it is you are smoking...you'll make a fortune :fing2:

The ProJR doesn't even have a 12inch, it's 10inch.

Yeah yeah, my Laney AOR Pro-tube still has more balls, more balls mo' betta' !

However if you are in the cover band doing hard rock/metal covers from early 70s to late 80s, JVM is the best amp out there.

.....which is basically the most sought-after tone for one of the largest purchasing demographics in the amplifier market.

Something that covers everything from Hendrix to VH, AC-DC, to the Scorpions, through Guns n' Roses, and up through early Zakk Wylde. It's basically the largest "Marshall net" you could basically cast on the market, excluding only the most metal and "thrashiest" of players.

You make it sound as if it's a "niche-market" or something. This new line of amps, in all of it's iterations yet to be announced, could quite possibly own, and own HARD.

Nope, what I meant by what I said before is if you play in the band that does Smoke on the Water, Paranoid, Too Fast for Love, Crazy Train, Balls to the Wall, Master of Puppets, No More Tears, all in one gig/one night than JVM is the perfect amp, probobly by far, but its not gonna nail any of those tones perfectyl, just very close. I don't think this amp, if you will plug in MXR distoriton + will nail the opening riff of Balls to the Wall, seriously doubt that.
This brings us back to what I said before in this thread, Marshall lost their market share to Engl, Mesa, Bogner, and other because JCM900 and JCM2000
were trying versitility and lost their "tone" crowd, now I know that Bogner is the most versitile amp there is agreed by many people, but it is also said that nobody does the Marshall "thing" as Bogner. So I think that they will not gain those people back who already with "other" high gain/classic tube heads.
