thats pretty cool! The back looks amazingly smooth! Plus the sunk in switches. The black inlay on the front looks like carbon fiber. (?) Cant believe another Petrucci sig model tho. He has a whole Line out now.. Ernie Ball brand has really grown fast

I DIG it! I like the stylized trem too.
I was in the same fraternity in college as John, John, and Mike and with our super-imposed letters/DT hallmark on fret one it makes me drool.
I have to admit i thinks it's HILARIOUS that there's a picture of Steve Lukather playing it!

Sterling Ball said on the EBMM Forum that the only reason that the picture exists was because Lukather was there for the wedding of Sterling's son.

It was on the EBMM forum. You're not missing much - it's a bunch of Sterling Ball brownnosers. There's knowledge there but it gets buried under all of the sucking up. I was only sticking around because of the Majesty teases that have been going on for the last month or two.

TONS of it. I posted the same thing there. The way Sterling was talking about how thin the neck was worried me. The JP is already darn near wizard specs. I like the width, and as much as I LOVE mystic dream I can't pull the trigger.

I played a JP7 at GC a few days ago (IIRC it was a BFR) and I had no problem with the neck at all. And I hate Wizard-thin necks. Perhaps that guitar was just magic. Hah

I found the Sterling guitars I've tried to have very thin but well rounded necks. The shape is really the most important part, IME.

Body shape reminds me of the old Gibson MIII from years ago.
They hung awkwardly on the strap due to the long upper horn so I'd expect this one will too.
Other than that I like it.
