New Pegasus pickup smaller than the original pickup in my guitar. How to mount it?

I have a Harley Benton 8-string guitar that I just bought a Pegasus pickup for to replace the oem bridge humbucker. When I got the pickup, I realized that the pegasus is smaller than the original pickup that came with the guitar. How can I go about attaching the Pegasus to the mounting rings that came with the guitar? Is there another way to mount it?
I can't really direct mount it because there are divots in the guitar made to give room for the mounting screws right where I'd need to screw the pickup in.

Also, the Pegasus pickup has 3 holes on each mounting leg instead of 1, and none of them are pre-threaded. Is this standard in 8 string seymour duncan pickups?

Thing is that size for extended range pickups is not standardized. The dimensions of the 8 string Pegasus is on the main Pegasus page, here. Only the middle hole on each side is threaded so my thought is that you'd have to DIY some sort of mounting ring to make it happen.

Oof. That is a conundrum. I don't see any pretty way to do it.

The janky way is to direct mount the pickup in the cavity, even though there is a pickup ring installed.

The not so janky way would be to fabricate extension tabs for the pickup, JB weld them to the pickup, and hope there is enough clearance for the inner part of the tabs (which may require some routing.

Personally, I would A) Search for pickups with identical dimensions B) Just keep it the way it is because import pickups can be decent. C) Buy another guitar.

Another possibility is to mount the Pegasus coils onto the original pickup's baseplate. You might have to drill coil mounting holes to match the Pegasus coils.

The legs stick down
splay those out on each side evenly as possible
The level the feet to line up the holes

I have never tried to change that much gap

On mome of my guitars i have to bring the holes in
Some they need to move out

The base plate is brass
Use some needle nose pliers
Be careful not to go back and forth a lot
The metal will fatigue and break

Good luck
