Thx! Yeah hums are my favorite. I was thinking if I needed to put a true single coil in between the full sized hums to break things up and to improve the notch positions but I was like eff it cuz I wanted to try the red devil. It ended up sounding really good. They all have a similar vibe and balance output wise. Neck middle, and all 3 are dark positions but everything sounds really good. They blend with this soulful humbucker grit and quack. There's no finish anywhere on the body or neck. I got em like that from warmoth.

Thx, yeah I get em unfinished when I order them custom from warmoth. Less money and sounds better imo, plus it looks cool. I may try staining one in the future. Although strat is my favorite guitar, stock strats are too jangley for me. I like hums, hardtail, and unfinished changes the sound a little imo.

Just tweaked the single coil pickguard and it came out insane. Kept the neck pc the same with A5/A6 added a quarter pound in the middle instead of a custom strat, and went from A5/A6 to A2/A6 in the bridge. Then went from 500k volume to 250k volume.

Went UOA5 on the neck Seth/Ant in the black pickguard guitar. I'm back into UOs. Just no A4. It thins out the bass and sweetens it up and makes it more detailed. I also bumped the treble bleed down from 220pf to 150pf. That way it darkens as I turn down the volume and gives a boost when I turn up.
