I just bought a "71" strat from this guy who had a Seymour Duncan Invader
put in the bridge position. It sounds good but it has too much gain and treble high end sound.I want to change this out with a Duncan SH-11 Custom Custom.Any thoughts out there. The type of music I play is hard ROCK. :saeek: Thanks-AV

I've never played with a Custom Custom, but if your strat is very bright, than the Custom Custom will take off that treble.

I have a Custom 5 in my LP, and my friend has the C5 in his strat, and it sounds very good. He uses it for rock, metal, pop, whatever else. You can give one of them a try, and if you don't like it, you can change the pup with SD's 21 day exchange policy. Or you can swap the magnet if you like.

I reccomend the Custom, or Duncan Distortion, or DiMarzio Super Distortion.
Rock ON!!! :headbang:

The Custom Custom works very well or hard rock and metal in a bright guitar. It has tons of mids with roled back highs, but it does have a it of a loose end, so if you have a flabby amp or aren't careful with your EQ, you might get a mushy bottom end response. With the right settings and in a the right guitar though, it will rip. :burnout:
