Re: New Pickups for a les paul copy, what would you suggest
Yeah, ive been looking at a bunch of recordings and videos of les pauls with these pickups, so far I like the jazz alot for clean, but I'm wondering how that will sound overdriven, maybe the pearly gates or A2pro sounds better for that while still keeping alot of definition for clean
for the bridge, Im thinking pearly gates or A2pros
--for amps, I own right now a peavey bandit 112 and play that through a 4X12 live, when I can't borrow an amp, but thats subject to change. I'm looking to get a used marshall vintage modern head or possibly an orange ad30htc head by next summer
--for pedals, i use a tube screamer and a boss me50 I got for 20 bucks this past summer, the analog delay setting is decent, and besides that I use the MT-2 or ds1 settings to add a little extra distortion if necessary depending on the amp, and the BD2 as a booster
