P-90s sound awesome for metal. Real raunchy metal tones with P-90s. The only problem with 'em is the fact that they're single coils, so there will be a lot more noise than with humbuckers, especially considering the amount of gain you'll be using. If you don't mind the noise, I'd say go for a P-90 set.

the seller made me a offer I couldnt rufuse,, the original Active pickups and electronics for $45,
There is 1 vol.,1 Tone,
5 way rotary knob & a pickup selector... left to right on the rotary switch is: Bypass,Drive 1, Drive 2, Dist.1, Dist.2. I'll also include the battery receptacle and control knobs. All that is missng is the neck plate.

I realized after I bought this deal that I cant find any info on this model on the internet, will probably be a wiring nightmare...but I have heard people rave over other Alan Entwistle pickups found this http://www.aldenguitar.com/product/?CID=1 but not a saturn guitar model ... fun fun fun
